Eligibility
General Eligibility
- Students appearing for or who have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) from a recognized board.
- Indian nationals are eligible to apply as per the latest ICAR/NTA guidelines.
- Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed for the respective undergraduate programme.
Academic Requirements
- Candidates should have completed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics/Agriculture in Class 12, depending on the chosen course.
- Students must have passed the qualifying examination from a recognized board.
- Candidates should fulfill the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the examination authority.
ICAR Exam Pattern
Mode of Examination
The ICAR entrance examination is conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) at designated examination centres.
Duration
The examination is conducted for 2 Hours (120 Minutes).
Subjects Covered
The examination includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Agriculture, and Aptitude, depending on the selected programme.
Question Type
The examination consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) designed to evaluate conceptual understanding and application skills.
Number of Questions
The total number of questions and subject distribution are prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the respective examination year.
Total Marks
The examination is conducted for the total marks specified in the latest official notification.
Marking Scheme
