What is NATA

  • National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national level entrance exam conducted for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programmes in Architecture (5-year BArch).
  • NATA exam is conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA). The exam was started in 2006 to help students avoid appearing in multiple aptitude tests.
  • Similar to JEE Main, NATA 2021 will be conducted twice by CoA, in April and in May.
  • Candidates will have the choice of appearing in one or both the exams.

Eligibility Criteria

The CoA has relaxed the NATA 2021 eligibility criteria. Every candidate must fulfill the NATA 2021 eligibility criteria before filling the application form:

  • Age Limit: There will be no age limit criteria to apply for the exam.
  • Subjects in Class 12: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects.
  • Qualifications: The candidates must have passed 10+2 level examination from a recognised board
  • Marks: Candidates must score at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-NCL category or PwD (Persons with a disability) shall be provided a relaxation of 5% marks in total aggregate in 10+2 level
  • Diploma Holders: Candidates who have passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate are also eligible to appear for the exam.
